What happens to what you send us.
This site collects nothing except what you choose to type into the contact form. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking. The detail is below.

Who this is about
BlackBear Consulting provides financial leadership and advisory services, and operates this site at blackbearcorp.com. For anything in this policy, write to alberto.salas@blackbearcorp.com.
What we collect
Only what you enter in the contact form, and only when you submit it:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company, if you give one
- The topic you select
- The message you write
Sent with it is the address and title of the page the form was submitted from, so we can see what you were reading when you wrote. Nothing else is gathered, and there is no hidden field.
What we do not do
This site runs no analytics and no advertising. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recorder and no third-party tracker of any kind. We do not profile visitors, we do not build an audience from this site, and we do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for their own marketing.
The site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser. The contact form does check for a HubSpot cookie named hubspotutk and includes it if one is already there, which lets an enquiry be matched to an earlier one from the same person; because this site does not run HubSpot's tracking script, that cookie is not normally present.
Why we hold it
To read your enquiry and reply to it, and - if work follows - to carry on that correspondence and keep a record of the engagement. We do not send a newsletter or marketing email. If that ever changes, it will be something you opt into, not something your enquiry signs you up for.
Who else handles it
A few services necessarily see some of your data in order for the site to work:
- HubSpot receives the contact form and stores it as the customer record we work from.
- Netlify hosts the site. Like any web host it keeps short-term server logs, which include visitors' IP addresses.
- Google Fonts serves the two typefaces. Your browser requests them from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and which page requested them.
- Unsplash serves the photographs for the same reason, and likewise receives your IP address.
Each handles that data under its own privacy terms. If you would rather not have your enquiry sit in a CRM at all, email the address above and it will stay in the mailbox instead.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within two years. Where an engagement follows, the correspondence and records are kept for as long as the professional and tax record-keeping rules that apply to the engagement require, and then deleted.
What you can ask for
Write to alberto.salas@blackbearcorp.com and you can ask to see what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. You do not have to explain why, and asking costs nothing. We will answer within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under your own country's data protection law. Those rights apply whatever this page says.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. There is no archive of earlier versions; if you need to know what it said on a particular date, ask.
