Services / Dashboards & Automated Reporting
Dashboards & Automated Reporting. A management pack that assembles itself.
In most companies the monthly pack is rebuilt by hand, by the same person, from the same exports, every month. We connect the reporting to the source systems instead, so the numbers refresh themselves and the finance team spends the month explaining results rather than assembling them.
When this helps
- The management pack takes days to produce and is out of date when it lands
- Two people answer the same question with two different numbers
- Leadership asks for a cut of the data that takes a week to produce
- Reporting stops entirely when one person is on holiday
- You are paying for a BI licence that nobody uses
What is included
The scope is agreed around the decisions in front of you. A typical engagement draws on the following.
Source connection
Direct links to the ERP, accounting system, bank and operational systems the numbers come from.
One definition set
Each metric defined once, so that margin means the same thing in every report.
Management dashboard
Built in Power BI, Looker or Tableau, or in whichever of them you already own.
Automated monthly pack
The board pack generated from the same data as the dashboard, on a schedule.
Data quality checks
The report tells you when a feed has broken, instead of quietly showing a wrong number.
Handover and training
Your team can change a report without calling us.
Deliverables

How it works
A clear sequence, so that you see value early and nothing is built that your team cannot own.
Define
Agree what each number means and which decision it serves, before anything is built.
Connect
Link the source systems and establish a single reconciled data layer.
Build
Dashboard and automated pack, reviewed against the manual version until the two agree.
Hand over
Your team owns it, with documentation and a support period.
Questions
Which tools do you build in?
Usually Power BI, Looker or Tableau. Where a company already owns and uses one of them, we build there rather than introducing another licence.
Our data is messy. Is that a blocker?
It is the normal starting point. Part of the work is establishing a reconciled layer between the source systems and the reporting, so that the dashboard and the ledger agree.
What happens when our systems change?
The definition catalogue and the documentation are written so that the reporting can be repointed. Where that is likely to be frequent, we offer a maintenance retainer.
